Credential verification

Credentials you can check. Signed by the issuer, owned by the holder.

Every certificate carries a code. Type it, or scan the QR printed on it, and see whether it is genuine, who issued it, to whom, and whether it is still valid. No account needed.

Codes look like ACD-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and are printed next to the QR code.

What a check tells you

  • Valid: the issuer granted it and stands by it today.
  • Expired: genuine, but its validity period has ended.
  • Revoked: the issuer withdrew it. Do not rely on it.

Each record is pushed to Validicate by the issuer and signed with the issuer's key, so a check does not depend on the issuer's site being up, and the record cannot be altered afterwards.

For employers and auditors

Check in seconds, without an account

A verification page shows the holder, the title, the issuer, the dates, the evidence the issuer recorded and the current status. The page is public by code, and codes cannot be guessed.

For issuers

Independence is what gives a certificate weight

A certificate that can only be checked on the issuer's own site is as credible as that site. Validicate holds a signed copy and answers for it, whoever asks and whenever they ask.

Signed at issue

Issuers push each credential with an Ed25519 signature. Validicate verifies it before storing anything and keeps the signature with the record.

Expiry and revocation

Validity periods and withdrawals are part of the record, so a check is always about today.

Privacy by construction

Pages are reachable only by their code, which carries 80 random bits. Profiles are opt-in. Holders decide what is shown.

Academies on Acadasco are issuers today

Certificates from Acadasco academies are pushed automatically. Other issuers can join through the same API.
